Schwägalp lantern trail

The nature discovery park on the Schwägalp is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Lake Constance region. It combines tourism, research and nature conservation and is the habitat of numerous pre-alpine plants and animals.

In winter, the protected moorland landscape shows its romantic side: After dark, countless kerosene lamps light up brightly. The little lights reflecting off the snow create a unique atmosphere on the wide and well-prepared Laterliweg trail. The walk through the snow-covered sections of forest can be completed in around 40 minutes by young and old alike. Only the last few meters are a little steeper downhill.

If it's a little colder, you have the option of warming up with a hot punch along the way or a cosy fondue or raclette at the end.

We finished off with a delicious fondue at the Passhöhe restaurant. The hostess and her team were very friendly and Kaya was also very welcome. We would love to come back, because the area has so much more to offer! Stay tuned!
